Unlike
other memory development programs that demand a lot of teacher
or parent input to be effective, Memory Booster requires little
or no adult involvement. The program automatically gives the child
instruction in memory strategies and systematically takes them
through enjoyable exercises that progressively enhance memory
skills.Children can be left to work with the program at their
own pace, freeing up teacher time in school and making it the
ideal choice by parents for home use.
Featuring
the voice of Brian Blessed as Pooter the Master Computer!
Memory
Booster is presented as an absorbing adventure game set
in Pooter's castle. Pooter the Master Computer has lost his memory
and needs help to recover it. During the adventure, children are
kept highly motivated by enjoyable tasks, cartoon rewards and
encouragements using attractive and humorous graphics.
Memory Booster
has up to six game levels, increasing in difficulty. Each level
teaches a different memory strategy and encourages children to
use it throughout. As the task gets more difficult, Memory Booster
encourages the child to vary their strategies and to learn those
which work best for them.
After
tasks are achieved Pooter allows the child to watch some of his
humorous cartoons! Games can be saved and the child may return
to continue his/her mission at any time. A detailed graphical
report of the child's performance is available tracking the child's
progress over time.
Memory
Booster is especially useful for children with DYSLEXIA
or who have identified memory difficulties, but it is also very
beneficial for ALL children aged 4 to 11 to help them to improve
their memory skills. Children can play on Memory Booster as much
and as often as they like. Although the structure of the program
remains the same, the items differ each time. This means that
the child is always given new challenges.
