Phonological awareness, auditory processing and phonics training
- Increase reading speed and comprehension through phonological awareness
Teaches pupils strategies for decoding unfamiliar words and determining meaning, leading to greater reading success.
- Use phonics training to build spelling skills
Pupils learn to match sounds to letters for better spelling and pronunciation.
- Help pupils struggling with speech and language
Earobics is the literacy intervention tool for pupils who have dyslexia, hearing impairments, or auditory-processing or attention-deficit disorders.
- Monitor pupil progress
Activities are automatically adjusted in response to pupil performance. Data tracking helps teachers document up to 12 pupils' progress.
Pupils who are struggling often lack phonological awareness and the ability to notice and manipulate individual sounds in words. Earobics helps pupils with extensive practice and skills training. Activities and games teach pupils to match sounds to letters, the key first step to determining pronunciation and meaning. Pupils also learn strategies for decoding unfamiliar words.
With data collection, customisation and adaptive training, Earobics lets teachers meet the individual learning needs of many pupils. Home versions let two pupils work at home (data tracking not included).
Earobics features easy-to-use management tools that give you control of the learning process
- Print each pupil's progress reports by date or range of dates.
- Use the password option to protect the confidentiality and reliability of data records, while allowing pupils to work with minimal supervision.
- Limit play to the games that target the pupil's deficit skills.
- Choose the starting levels of difficulty within each game.
- Determine when skill training should be repeated or skipped
- Customise auditory repetition and other features
- Automatically generate IEP-formatted goals for each activity
Earobics Step 1
For developmental ages four to seven. Stresses phonological awareness and processing skills such as syllables and sound blending, segmenting, rhyming and sound discrimination. It features six interactive games with over 300 levels of play. It systematically teaches the critical phonological awareness, auditory processing and introductory phonics skills required for learning to read and spell. The games also develop general cognitive skills that support learning, such as attention and memory. Some games are single-switch accessible.
