Phonological awareness, auditory processing and phonics training

Pupils who are struggling often lack phonological awareness and the ability to notice and manipulate individual sounds in words. Earobics helps pupils with extensive practice and skills training. Activities and games teach pupils to match sounds to letters, the key first step to determining pronunciation and meaning. Pupils also learn strategies for decoding unfamiliar words.

With data collection, customisation and adaptive training, Earobics lets teachers meet the individual learning needs of many pupils. Home versions let two pupils work at home (data tracking not included).

Earobics Step 1

For developmental ages four to seven. Stresses phonological awareness and processing skills such as syllables and sound blending, segmenting, rhyming and sound discrimination. It features six interactive games with over 300 levels of play. It systematically teaches the critical phonological awareness, auditory processing and introductory phonics skills required for learning to read and spell. The games also develop general cognitive skills that support learning, such as attention and memory. Some games are single-switch accessible.
