Penfriend helps people with dyslexia at all levels with 'next
word' prediction from the first letter typed. Supported by system
intelligence that 'learns' the user's personal writing sytle,
it selects commonly used words and offers advanced English grammar.
Penfriend
contains three pre-set files of varying size for users at different
levels. In addition personal word lexicons can be created, together
with custom user settings. The speech component reads letters,
words, sentences and 'clipboard' contents, with adjustable volume,
pitch, pause and speed controls. An optional on-screen keyboard
reduces physical 'keyboard-to-screen' stress and the strain of
continual proof-reading.
