Allows the teacher plenty of opportunity to tailor the activities to the needs of the individual pupils.

The program is attractive and motivating, but firmly based on sound educational principles and helps to develop skills in grouping items, matching and counting. Presentation of the tasks is controlled by the teacher and a record of the child`s progress is maintained.

Pond includes these activities:

• Teddybears Picnic – matching amounts of food to number of teddies
  Count the Ducks (up to 5 or up to 9)
  
• Count the (moving) Butterflies includes options to count off the screen in ascending or descending order
  
• Fish and frogs – count the fish and the frogs will jump into the pond to reinforce that number; includes the option of more than and less than.
  

During the program there are many ancillary opportunities to practise counting.

Completely rewritten and with new graphics, this modern version includes optional switch access.
