My
World can be used in many ways. Originally designed to make computers
accessible to children with special needs, it has proved extremely
popular in main-stream education, where it offers opportunities
for interactive learning across the curriculum.
My World
can be used to reinforce and to extend learning in a wide range
of situations, from whole-class use to individual programs of
study.
My World
screens can contain pictures, text and sound. Pictures and text
can be picked up, moved, dropped and deleted. Text can be added
and edited. The program is very simple to learn and use, yet
is powerful enough to be a most effective learning tool.
My World
is supported by hundreds of screens produced by other software
houses and by teachers themselves. My World screens are available
for an age range from pre-school children to high school students.
They cover
subject areas including modern languages, mathematics, science,
design, history and geography.
