Contains over 140 pre-designed activities, separated into themes for ease of use. You can also create your own switch-building activities.
Build Some More has been developed to support early switch users. It has a wide range of activities from simple single press cause and effect activities, to requiring the user to press a switch several times to incrementally build up (or paint) a picture.
This package has been produced with a focus towards children. However, you should find it to be useful with adults too! If you prefer you can read adult or client where the word child is used. You should find that many of the graphics in the activities are suitable for older users.
Topics are:
1 Press Young - some simple 'press to get a reward' activities for young users.
1 Press Burst - animations 'behind' the front part of the picture, i.e. they are partially occluded.
1 Press Eyes - spooky eyes that move around the screen. Also notice that the same piece of music is played with slightly different instruments and styles.
1 Press Groups - press a switch and one of the object/pictures on the screen animates/gets bigger.
1 Press Space - one press rewards in outer space.
1 Press What is it - see an outline and press the switch to see what it is.
2 Presses - the first press shows an image. The second brings the 'reward.'
3 Presses in Space - a sci-fi picture builds up with three switch presses and then, animates.
3+ Presses for Bulls Eyes - a patterned picture builds up and then animates.
3+ Press Painting - see a picture and paint it with several switch presses.
3+ Presses - different patterns that build up and animate with switch presses.
3+ Presses - more multiple switch presses to build a picture and then animate.
Build Some More can be controlled by one or two switches (including using a microphone as a sound switch), buttons on a standard games joystick, a touch screen or the mouse buttons.
Several input styles are allowed such as two switch alternating, activate on release and even a cooperative mode where two switches have to be pressed together (used to have a child using two switches together, or a child cooperating with a carer or another child).
